Individual Therapy

Many people who come to therapy with me look like they’re managing life well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. You may be dealing with constant overthinking, pressure to hold everything together, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from trying to meet people’s expectations.

People often seek therapy with me when they are experiencing:

• pressure to always get things right
• burnout from work or caregiving responsibilities
• complicated relationships with family or partners
• anxiety and constant overthinking
• feeling disconnected from themselves or their values

Many of the adults I work with are also navigating the emotional impact of race, identity, culture, or belonging. As a Black queer therapist, I understand that mental health does not exist outside of these realities. Many clients appreciate having a space where these parts of themselves can be discussed openly.

Therapy with me is collaborative and reflective. We slow down enough to notice patterns, understand where they come from, and explore new ways of responding. Sometimes that means unpacking long-held beliefs about responsibility, worth, or success. Other times it means practicing small changes that make daily life feel more manageable.

Maybe you’re hoping to be less reactive around family, set better boundaries at work, or finally get out of your own head enough to enjoy connection, hobbies, and rest. In our work together, we’ll focus on helping you move through those stuck places, develop habits that feel doable, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels grounding and sustainable.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation.
